Bear Fever Guide Service offers a five day bear hunt for $1500. This price includes all the baiting as well as a ladder stand at an active bait site skinning and a meal for the hunters every night. We will bring you out to your stand the first day and get you all set, and after that we let you go in to your bait on your own.
After the kill, we will retrieve your bear and provide field dressing services. Once the bear is packed out and has been registered will skin and put it in the walk in cooler tell you leave home or transfer to a meat processor of your choosing. If you prefer to process your own meat, that is an option as well.
We require a $200 deposit by August 1st to hold your booking, with the balance due when you check in with us. We offer hunts in Zones 24 and 25, and you must apply for a tag in these zones by May 3, 2022. Minnesota does not offer outfitter tags, so we cannot buy your tag for you. Baiting season starts August 16 2024 so please get in touch with us prior to that date if you are interested in hunting with us, as we are only allowed 3 baits per hunter. The 2024 MN bear hunting season runs from 9/1/24 to 10/20/24We prefer to do our hunts in the first two weeks of season, as this provides the best success rates.
Our baits are located on private property to maximize the hunter's opportunity at harvesting a bear. Minnesota bear hunting regulations allow for three baits per hunter. The baits are set up about 20 yds from the stand. Because of our many remote stand locations, we suggest you bring an ATV if possible, but it is not absolutely necessary.
The weapons that our guide service considers acceptable for bear hunting include: bows, muzzleloaders, 12 gauge with slug, rifles with caliber 270 or larger, as well as 10mm, 357mag or 44mag or larger pistols. We do require our hunters to wear a safety harness while hunting. All weapons must be sighted in before you go out to your stand. We also have a walk in cooler to cool down your kill.
